  1. Full Name: Robert J. Schlabach
  2. Family: my wife Audrey, 3 adult children, and 2 exchange students.
  3. Do you have a nick name: if so what is it and how did you get it? Bob. At a certain age in this country society assumes “Robert” is pronounced “Bob”.
  4. First Job: I was a draftsman at a custom material handling machinery company in Sugarcreek, Uhrden, Inc.
  5. Worst Job: I was a tender on a masonry crew during the winter.
  6. Personal motto or credo:
  7. A great day is comprised of these elements: the culmination of a goal or effort, good conversation, and good food.
  8. Hobbies: reading, learning new words, photography (pre-stroke) and traveling.
  9. Favorite Sport or event to watch, live or on TV: the news and sports- especially the World Series. I also enjoy shows mixing history and geography. This includes documentaries. Someone wake me up and let me know if you hear of a documentary on Catherine the Great (of Russia).
  10. Proudest Childhood Accomplishment: passing the 7th grade (I nearly failed).
  11. What did you want to be when you grew up: an engineer.
  12. If you were a hero, what powers would you have:
  13. It’s Karaoke night and you have to sing what’s your go to song: Hey Jude by the Beatles.
  14. What two stations or Podcasts do you listen to most in your car: WKSU and WNPQ
  15. What makes you laugh: parodies
  16. What is your favorite book to read and who is your favorite author: John Grisham and Jury Duty.
  17. Alaska or Hawaii, which would you rather visit for vacation and why: Hawaii, I would rather be warm than cold.
  18. Of your five senses, which is the strongest and why: touch. I can be ticklish.
  19. If you had a warning label, what would yours say: stand back when hitting.
  20. How many pair of shoes do you own: 5 or 6.
  21. If you could share a coffee with four individuals, living or dead: who would they be.
  22. If you to describe yourself using an animal, which one would it be and why: an elephant. Over a period of time I have successfully plodded along.
  23. What is something that scares you but you really want to try it: sky diving.
  24. What is something you tried that you’ll never do again: eating cow tongue.
